ACD - Wed 31/03/1841. Stockton & Darlington Railway terminus, replaced by a new Croft (later Croft Spa) station on the main line S from Darlington, opened from 31/03/1841.

CPLGB p18; DRS give Tue 30/03/1841. RPSGB gives 31/03/1841; DSW gives 01/04/1841. As the the date recorded for the opening of the main line S from Darlington towards York is 31/03/1841, it is safe to assume the Croft branch was closed to passenger services on and from this date.
