Further Notes

ACD - Sun 13/12/1846 - CPLGB p32. Original Gravesend & Rochester Railway was built alongside the Thames & Medway Canal. Following closure for reconstruction the line was RO - 23/08/1847 with a new alignment S of original canal route at this location. See The Canals of South and South East England D&C 1969 p81-101

The alignment of the route is approximate as it was stated to have been built "alongside the canal", but no information showing the exact alignment has yet come to light.
