C and DRS record Fleetwood (1st) as CL 1883 and make no reference to the station featured here. See Fleetwood Station Jct. - Fleetwood (2nd).
To avoid the expense of doubling, given the nature of the original line, running partly on stone embankments and partly on piles, a new single line further inland was built. The original intention was to retain the embankment line for 'up' trains only, but problems with the foundations forced complete closure. See RHRGB ref above for a detailed account.
It would appear that the station was resited slightly to the NW of the original 1840 station after the abandonment of the original line ("re-sited 13 Feb 1851" - RPSGB). This would make sense, as the 1844 OS map above shows, the orientation of the original station would not have been compatible with the alignment of the replacement, inland route. Furthermore, the course of the 1883 extension to the replacement terminus took the line through the site of the 1840 station, so the site would have been cleared well in advance to allow work on the new line to proceed.
