Further Notes
West Cornwall Railway.
ACD - Mon 16/02/1852 - CPLGB p10. Closed for reconstruction as part of new line between Penzance and Truro.
**The exact number and location of stations is uncertain. As with many early railways, stations could be little more than stopping places with few, if any, facilities. Likewise the exact line of route in Hayle from the swing bridge to the street section along Penpol Terrace is unclear. RPSGB does specifically refer to the line using this thoroughfare, but it would require sharp curves to circumvent the buildings depicted. It may well be that some of these structures post-date the railway closure and now occupy the original line of route.
RO - Thu 11/03/1852 except following sections, which were permanently closed* - Hayle (1st) - Deviation point [Trenowin] - 3m 16c.; Penponds deviation [west of Camborne] - 1m 15c; Redruth Jct. Redruth (1st) - 0m 11c.
