Replaced when services were diverted to Brecon (Free St.).
This entry is a borderline case as a separate line of route. The 'mainline' through to the later site of Free St. from Heol Lladron Jct. was at a higher level, thus arguably defining it as a separate line of route. Interesting to note that Watton station, normally described as a terminus, was on a through line linking up with the 'mainline' west of the station. There is no evidence that any passenger services operated west beyond Watton, the link seemingly only being used for goods traffic and locomotives accessing the yard and engine shed respectively. See The Brecon & Merthyr Railway OL13 OP 1991 p19/27.
Furthermore, most sources record that the exact location of this sttion is unknown. However, the more detailed 1888 map, reproduced above, clearly shows a platform (denoted as such) and 'office' buildings which would strongly suggest former use as a passenger station.
