Stations replaced by new station south of Haswell South Jct. on opening of new curve to Haswell North Jct.
RPSGB p226, 500/1 and Map 35a goes into considerable detail about the arrangements in respect of the two stations at Haswell, which were probably more complex than this entry may suggest. Indeed, doubt is cast as whether either would qualify as stations as such. Unfortunately, amidst all this, no mention is made of the date of the closure of the two 'stations' or the opening of their replacement.
Cobb erroneously shows only one pre-1877 station, Haswell (D&S).
