ACD - Sun 12/12/1886. Line closed to passengers on opening of the 'Liverpool Loop Line' which gave improved access to an expanded Liverpool (Exchange) station.
No officially recorded ACD has been identified for this section of line, so it is assumed that it was taken out of regular passenger use from this date. It may well have been that passenger services occasionally used the line, though it was completely severed south of the former Great Howard St. station following bomb damage during WW2.
