Further Notes
CL - Mon 01/01/1917; RO - Sun 02/03/1919 - DRS.
ACD - Fri 20/05/1921 - CPLGB p54; PNM 1980 p9.
Local service withdrawn due to miners' strike. The Solway Junction Railway LP176 OP p53 records that "according to locals (a service) was resumed on Mon 30/05/1921 as one mixed train on Tuesdays and Saturdays". Subsequently, due to condition of viaduct, the last train ran on Wed 31/08/1921. Being a Wednesday it was presumably a goods train, so possibly LTR - Tue 30/08/1921, making ACD - Wed 31/08/1921!
However, RPSGB p536 throws doubt as to whether line was continuously closed from 1917-1919 dates or that the mixed trains alluded to above did actually operate.
B Aug 1921 p790 - table shows stations but no service.
Any further information or clarification welcome!
