**Strictly speaking Langley Mill (Branch Platform) was part of the same station serving the Erewash Valley main line, though it was physically quite separate, being located on the opposite, SW side of the Station Road underbridge to the main platforms. RCH Y 1918 and MR System Map Book No.76 Sheet 13 show them as adjacent. However, OS 25 Inch, 1892-1914 clearly shows otherwise (see map extract above).
