ACD - Mon 02/10/1933 - withdrawal of RTS. Speculative, based on information available to date (see below).
DSW implies that this line lost its regular services from 1914 but no specific date is mentioned. However, all available Bradshaw's up to and including B1200 Jul 1933 show at least one train each way between Pilmoor and Pickering. Further study of the relevant Bradshaw's, if and when they become available, will hopefully narrow the search down to a more precise date.

This section of line, along with Sunbeck Jct. - Scarborough Rd. Jct. and Malton East Jct., was used by summer Saturday trains between Glasgow, Edinburgh & Newcastle and Scarborough avoiding York until LTR - Sat 08/09/1962 - BLN 426 p176/5. Interesting to note that these trains appeared in the timetable as "via Gilling", though neither the station nor the line appeared in any table or on the network map.
