ACD - Sat 01/05/1875 when RTS withdrawn and intermediate stations closed (including Helsby & Alvanley - see West Cheshire Jct. - Helsby & Alvanley).
From Thu 03/05/1934 for 'summer' (dates not confirmed) ThO and SuO trains between Birkenhead and Knutsford operated to "summer of 1939" - RPSGB. By Jul 1936 the service was reduced to SuO and to/from Northwich only. Last confirmed appearance in Aug 1939; disappeared from Aug 1940 onwards.
Subject to confirmation, probably LTR Sun 03 or 10/09/1939 at latest.
Strictly speaking, this section of line falls outside the scope of this website as the ACD is pre-1901 and subsequent services were SDS. It would be absurd to omit it on these grounds, though, given that it is inextricably linked to the West Cheshire Jct. - Helsby & Alvanley section.
