Interestingly, Bradshaw's continued to show the same table heading - "Crewe, Northwich, and Acton Bridge" - until at least B1405 Sep 1950 524a. From at least B1416 Sep 1951 524a the table heading was amended to "Crewe, Sandbach, Middlewich and Northwich". However, throughout the list of stations continued to include Acton Bridge but with no trains shown between Northwich and Acton Bridge until at least B1429 Oct 1952 524a. Was this an editorial oversight or was the service expected to resume?
