TCD - Mon 16/06/1947 - due to fuel crisis, later made permanent - PNM 1980 p20; DRS. No Sunday service, LTR - Sat 14/06/1947.
OCD - Mon 23/05/1949 - CPLGB; RoCR; DRS. RM Sep & Oct 1949 p346 reports "It has been decided to close permanently the stations at ... Binton, and Bidford, between Broom Junction and Stratford-on-Avon, which were closed temporarily on June 16, 1947". As the entry is headed "Closing of Stations, L.M.R." and the piece leads with the closing date of May 23, it is assumed this date applies to the official closure of Binton and Bidford, hence this section of line. It is, however, by no means clear.
