**Both PNM & RoCR give same closure date as the branch for the east-facing curve from Newton Tony Jct. towards Grateley/Andover Junction. However, the latest timetable entry for a passenger service over this section of line identified to date is from B921 Apr 1910 p147. Any further information very welcome.
*RCH WE 1918. Amesbury Jct. - Bulford - 5m 77c; Grateley Jct. (divergence point) - Newton Tony Jct. - 0m 28c - estimated distance using scale map. The section of line from Grateley Jct. to the point of divergence shared the same formation as the main line from Andover Junction to Salisbury for approximately 2m 26c. Cobb 80 23 39 shows a junction at this divergence point "1901-1904". Large scale OS maps of the period confirm this.
