Whittingham Hospital Railway.
This line was built specifically to serve the asylum built at Whttingham as a branch from Grimsargh on the Preston - Longridge branch. Although open to the public it was purely there to serve people visiting or working at the hospital. It was latterly owned and operated by Lancashire County Council.
