Closed as part of the Manchester (Piccadilly) - Crewe electrification project.
C, RoCR, PNM 1980 p63; DRS all give ACD as Sun 28/08/1960.
RPSGB states "clo on and from 6 p.m. Saturday 27 August". RM Oct 1960 p737 states "...Mayfield was closed to passengers on August 27...".
An interesting one in relation to the closed "on and from" principle. According to DSW there were two arrivals and two departures on a Sunday, so I will defer to the majority!
