ACD - Sun 05/09/1965 - BLN 39. Sunday service was in operation, LTR - Sat 04/09/1965. BLN 41 states "The new line was brought into use on 5th September and with effect from 4th September Reading Southern was closed". PNM 1980 p77, RoCR, DRS give Mon 06/09/1965 - OCD?
Services diverted to Reading General.
A borderline case here for inclusion as a section of line. Whilst the RCH map shows what looks like a distinctly separate line of route, in reality the line was close enough to the GWR main line to be arguably considered part of the same formation. Included here for the record and acknowledging that PNM and RoCR both record this as a section of line closure.
