*RCH WE 1924 gives 13m 2c. This presumably reflects the fact that the mileage on the map is measured from Patney & Chirton station. SRS RR GW180 gives Patney Jct. as 9c W of Patney & Chirton. OS 25 Inch 1892-1914 shows the junction some 35c W of the (site of the) station. Was the junction relocated at some point?
The Devizes line assumed an independent formation very shortly after the junction, despite appearances, again, on the RCH map.
