Further Notes
ACD - Mon 24/02/1969; LTR - Sun 23/02/1969 - BLN 122 p1; PNM 1980 p59. Special buses replaced trains between Uckfield and Lewes from Mon 24/02/1969 due to the condition of a bridge north of Lewes. These ran until OCD (see below).
OCD - Sun 04/05/1969 - PNM 1980 p59; DRS; RPSGB; BLN 128 p2 which specifically states that "Temporary 'bus and mini-bus service withdrawn, not operating Sunday 4th May, and Isfield and Barcombe Mills stations finally closed". As a Sunday service was scheduled in the timetable, this would make OCD 04/05/1969.
RM Jun 1969 p351 and RHRGB Vol2 Southern England p give OCD as Mon 05/05/1969.
DSW gives OCD for Isfield and Barcombe Mills as 04/05/1969, but states "buses finally stopped on 6th May 1969".
Take your pick! Clarification welcome.
